Review : LipIce Sheer Color

Good morning Ladies!

2-3 months ago, I received a free sample of LipIce Sheer Color from LipIce SG when I subscribe to their Facebook page. I had tried and fell in love with it! So I decided to buy at Watsons for S$7.95 and ended up with Sheer Color Fragrance Free as Shimmer is not available and I don't feel getting Strawberry flavor at that moment.

About LipIce Sheer Color (excerpt from LipIce website)

NovaLash Eyelash Extension Review : Lolita New York (Singapore)

Eyelash Extension? they are applied by using one single false lash to one single real lash.

What is Novalash? “NovaLash extensions are an “instant pretty” for any woman who desires longer, fuller lashes. NovaLash extensions are meticulously applied lash by lash, bonded with award-winning medical-grade adhesives, by certified professional NovaLash stylists. They are weightless, wonderful and truly transformative.” - Sophy Merszei, CEO of NovaLash

This is my first time doing eyelash extension in Singapore and was lucky that I have bought this Novalash online deal at Groupon.com

Located @ Marina Square B1
A $89 value Novalash Eyelash Extensions by Lash Technician (total 60 lashes), which I purchase for only $38, more than 50% savings!

I would definitely be back next time to do it again with or without the Groupon voucher, maybe a Glamorous set, this consist of  >100 lashes, why not?

Slightly Down view =) after 1 hr

Normal View =)

Top View =) after 7 hrs, they are still comfy & intact haha
It took around an hour, the lady technician is very nice and her hands is very light. I feel very comfy lying there while she apply the extensions one-by-one. It is relaxing that I almost fell asleep =)

The adhesive glue smells, but that is normal for me. I think they mix it with an aromatherapy scent too, so it was really not that bad. You can only feel that thing they stick under your eye area, you know the white-ones to take care of your skin in case the adhesive or the lashes fell there.

Plus you are not required to removed your prescription lenses while doing this. That means that the ingredients they use are safe and tested not to irritate your eyes, which is very good!

If you haven't tried applying false eyelash, you might give it a try first before going to a salon for an eyelash extension. I think it is better to have that first-feel before you go out and ask someone for an eyelash extension, remember this is semi-permanent and might cause uneasiness or inconvenience. You don't want to end up wasting your money by asking the Lash Stylist to remove the extensions for you right away.

Taking care after the extension is the next thing you have to take note:

a. Do not go swimming for the next 2 days.
b. Do not use oil-based makeup remover.
c. If you still want to use mascara, do apply water based mascara only.
d. Be gentle with your lashes and do not rub your eyes.

MAC Eye Shadow Mini Haul

I was amazed to find MAC eye shadows on my closet this morning! Can you imagine a guy buying makeup on the counter? That is soo gay, quite cute and I think, sexy =)

Moving on, anyone who have no experience or have not tried putting eye shadow makeup at all will have a very difficult time looking for which shades they should go for. My husband has asked the saleslady for any recommendation and since he knows that I have been eying for a yellow-type shade, he have picked 'Sunny Spot', the rest are Amber Lights, Dazzlelight and Knight Divine.

(L to R) Knight Divine, Sunny Spot, Dazzlelight and Amber Lights

  • Amber Lights : Peachy-brown with shimmer (Frost)
easy to wear, just apply all over lid and line your eyes with either black or brown eye pencil

  • Dazzlelight : Neutral with shimmer (Veluxe Pearl)
put on your browbone as a highlight or on the corner of your eyes for that brightening effect

  • Sunny Stop : Light acid green yellow (Matte)
all over lid shadow, make sure you put it over a white cream shadow base to boost the color =)

  • Knight Divine : Black w/silver pearl (Veluxe Pearl)
night out makeup for that smokey/sultry eye effect

I will show you how to use this shades next time, I’m gonna go play and think for combinations that will work well on this colors first.

How about you, which eye shadow colors you plan to get on your next purchase?

Review : Concealers

Today we will talk about concealers which a must-have in our makeup collections.

Every morning after applying moisturizer, I squeeze a bit of concealer and pat it using my ring finger. By doing so, this will warm up the solution and makes applying/blending easier. Do not apply the concealer direct from the tube or from the stick canister.

Our under-eye area is very sensitive, we should not be rubbing it hard and pressing too harshly. If we do not take extra care now, we are welcoming thin lines, wrinkles, dark eye circles and redness.

Choosing the correct concealer color is vital, we do not want to end up looking like a facial eye mask has been left there. Fear not, every girl had encounter difficult time in finding the right concealer. Let me help you to list what are the things to consider in buying your concealer, or to some, their very first concealer:
  • Choose concealer that is one or two shade lighter than your skin tone.
  • For concealing under eye dark circles, select a creamy formula.
  • For concealing pimples or scar, solid or matte formula. Medicated ones are highly recommended to treat pimple as well.
Below are my concealers at the moment:
1. Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil
Check this at urbandecay.com
I have olive skin tone, the color I'm using is NSA. It is very compatible on my skin, it has a creamy formula and it does dries matte after applying. Even if you don't use powder to set it, still it stays put and doesn't crease. I always bring it along when I travel, good for all season; summer or winter. The price is not so expensive, S$28. The only pain is that it needs to be sharpen, and sad to see some of the products being wasted. By far, my most favorite.

2. Bourjois Health Mix Correcting Concealer
Visit bourjois.com
The color I'm using is 52 eclat medium. It is a bit light on my skin. I normally mix it up with a darker foundation to get the color I want. They have 3 available shades: fair, medium and foncĂ© (darker). The formula is not so creamy, I use a foundation brush to blend it well, though it last all day =)
Price S$19.50 and I've got 20% discount when I bought this from Watsons.

3. The Body Shop - Tea Tree  Concealer Arbre A The Correcteur

www.thebodyshop.com.sg
I have 01 color. This is meant to conceal pimple as the formula is dry and medicated. I use it along with The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil and I noticed my pimple clear faster. I do not use it under my eye area as the formula is too dry, does it tends to cake and harder to blend compare to cream or liquid foundation. You can get it from The Body Shop stores for S$19.90

Overall, concealer helps to even out our skin tone, it can brighten up our face without even using a foundation. In this way, you are letting your skin breathe especially if you apply makeup everyday. You can skip foundation and just use concealer under your eye, along the nose, on the sides of your lips and on the chin.

I hope this post was helpful, thank you for reading and good luck on finding the right concealer! =)

Review : Guerlain's Parure Aqua Fluid Foundation SPF 20

www.guerlain.com

Radiant Feel-Good Foundation Moisturising-Mineral Enriched SPF 20 PA+++

I have been using this foundation for weeks now and I can say that I have finally found my holy grail!

This is the first foundation that look and feel natural in my face. Its deliciously fresh and fluid texture that evens out skin resulting in a smooth, luscious, ultra-natural complexion radiating with health and freshness.

I am using 23 Dore Naturel and sets it off with my Avon Ideal Shade Loose Powder. But honestly, you can just leave it as it is, it stays matte in my quite oily skin =) Just blot excess oil after few hours, on your forehead, side of the nose.. It provides a sheer coverage and you can also double it up as a concealer to hide dark under eye circles and blemishes.

Smells good and not to mention the elegant packaging. This is really worth a try!
