GoPro HD Helmet Hero

Just learn about GoPro camera last Dec 2011 after watching a video online. Done a search on google.com, check what is it about, what are the reviews, and so on and so forth... Raving for it's great videos and awesome pictures, I am hooked! I actually plan to buy it for my husband as a Christmas present, but at that time, I thought it was only available online, and delivery on holiday season is a pain in the **s. I had opted to just bought him an Adidas Sennheiser waterproof headset, one that is readily available in most of the shopping stores that carries Mac or Apple products.

So today we bought our very first GoPro camera, it's the GoPro's HD Helmet HERO.  We had been checking it out in Harvey Norman stores in both Suntec and Millenia Walk, but since there is a shortage of accessories currently - we're quite thinking twice if we really want to buy now or what if we'll just wait for their accessories to restock. But since we will be going to Phuket next week, then, why not buy now =) must buy now, seldom this travel come due to work and other stuff.

We had to call almost all the reseller for this product in Singapore just to make sure that they have the Chest mount harness available, you'll find out soon why this accessory is a MUST when you own a GoPro camera. And since we are running out of time before our holiday, right after office, we straight went to Peninsula Plaza, Funan, back to Peninsula Plaza, called Harvey Norman Raffles City, Vivo City, and other stores on this website www.streamcastasia.com, HN @ Raffles City do not have stock for HD Hero Naked, but they offer me a good discount if I will purchase HD Surf Hero since it is the only one left and the next in line after Hero Naked. I did note the salesmen name just to make sure that he's not bogus or he will just say thru phone-only when actually it is not. Well he did assured me to look for him when we come to their HN store later or on another day. And I guess, o---kay, why not trust this young men and just go there as you do not need to travel far or something.

BUT before we did  that, my husband was able to contact a reseller located @ Holland Village, stating that they still have 2 more stock for Chest mount harness. And thinking that we already missed our chance just now in one of the store at Excelsior Hotel regarding this accessory, my husband decided that we just went ahead and get the Chest mount harness first before getting the camera @ Raffles City, a stone throw away from where we are at that time. Now, we are running again to make sure we reach the store at Holland Village, Parisilk before they close at 8pm. And what a fool, we took bus rather than MRT. So we reach at 7:52pm, glad that they are still open and that there are still customers inside. Robert was able to buy and off we go to Raffles City.

We travel from Holland Village back to Raffles City via mrt to get the camera, you remember, the one with the discount, yes - that's a very good deal provided that it is from a Harvey Norman store and that we had been or we had contacted most of the HN stores to check their availability and price, this is the only store that offers a 20% discount just because it is their last stock. A saving of S$40 from the actual retail price and on other resellers, yay! Went there and got interested on HD Helmet Hero instead as it has more accessories along with the head strap (which cost up to S$29, if I'm not mistaken), adhesive mounts, etc, and etc. So then we look for Sam, the guy who I just spoke with and ask him what is his price for Helmet Hero, he go back ask someone and get back with a 20% discount too! What a nice guy! We are lucky to found him, I mean glad that he is the one who answer my call just now, and give us this savings. Thank you Sam from Harvey Norman Raffles City. Good job man =)

Review : Rohto C Cube eye drops

I have been using this product since 2008. And this is the only Rohto C product available in Singapore market. I usually buy it either at Watsons or Guardian, whichever has a good price or promotion. A 20% or 10% discount is still a lot of savings, especially if this is one of your necessity =)

It is quite expensive, from S$5.75 it become S$7.95 in the span of 3yrs =) I am not really sure if you will agree but some items in the shelves stay exactly the same price 4 or 5yrs ago, others even get lower prices from their actual price. “The price of an item is dependent on the demand for that item and how much of it is for sale”. Might be, a lot of buyers find Rohto C more comfortable so the demand goes up, as well as the price.

The size of the eye drops vs. its box
I have been looking for a replacement, like below S$5 but this is the only eye drops I found that can be used with soft or disposable or hard contact lenses. I was able to found a cheaper one though, but it is not as comfortable as Rohto C. That’s why for the past 3 yrs I still go for Rohto C.

And I’m glad, my friend Angie goes to JB Malaysia every month and she would always buy me Rohto C, for RM13.95 which is S$6.34 sumthin’ (depends on the exchange rate) is still cheaper than in Singapore. And if lucky, Watsons Johor Bahru (JB) even has a promotion, so I get it way way cheaper then.

What is inside the box
Well enough with complaining about its price, let’s go on its PROS. I wear clear contact lens everyday for more than 12 hrs and these eye drops did make the lenses more comfy. During summer, I put it inside the fridge and drop the solution on my eye, it is super refreshing =)

It reduces a bit on eye redness when I’m wearing color lenses and of course moisturizing. My eyes are always dry and our office aircon adds up in my pain, so this product helps a lot in lubricating my eyes.

This are the product know-what and how:

I will normally stick a date label on the bottom of the container, in that way I know when it is expiring. You can only use it for a month,

To sum up, I cannot go out without Rohto C Cube in my pocket =)
And if you are currently looking for eye drops that can be use while wearing lenses, you might give this product a try.

DIY : All Natural Honey and Salt Facial Scrub

Do you have that irritating pimple sitting on your face right now? Who doesn't? I hate it, but I've learned to deal with it. And I've got discovered a DIY scrub that really works.

Pimples, they usually go away after sometime. But the sooner you treat them, the more likely you'll be able to get rid of them.

I would normally get pimple when my period is coming near, or when I tried a new product, or when I wasn't able to wash my face the night before, or when I sleep late, or simply, when I don’t sleep at all.

Others say, if you want to dry pimple, you can apply toothpaste on it and leave it overnight (which I have not tried though). Or you can try honey and salt facial scrub which I normally use to help clear my pimples fast =)

What you'll need:

a. 1/2 teaspoon of salt

b. 1 teaspoon honey

c. small mixing bowl

Measurements are for one time use only. You just need to make sure that the mixture is pretty thick, so that it won't drip off your face (that is messy).

Mix all the ingredients together. Then wash or cleanse your face. Let it dry and apply the honey-salt facial evenly. Keep away from the eye area while applying and massaging, do small circle strokes especially on the sides of your nose and on the pimple area. Be very gentle, salt can be very rough. I'm using the normal sea salt that you can get on supermarket.

Leave it on for about 5 to 7 mins, take note that you'll feel a little bit of sting but that should be okay. Then wash your face with warm water. Pat it dry, and make sure you apply moisturizer, it's a must!

Your skin will feel smoother right away, I assure you.

Do this every other night, till the pimple dries up and say hello to a pimple-free skin!

MAC Eye Shadow Mini Haul

I was amazed to find MAC eye shadows on my closet this morning! Can you imagine a guy buying makeup on the counter? That is soo gay, quite cute and I think, sexy =)

Moving on, anyone who have no experience or have not tried putting eye shadow makeup at all will have a very difficult time looking for which shades they should go for. My husband has asked the saleslady for any recommendation and since he knows that I have been eying for a yellow-type shade, he have picked 'Sunny Spot', the rest are Amber Lights, Dazzlelight and Knight Divine.

(L to R) Knight Divine, Sunny Spot, Dazzlelight and Amber Lights

  • Amber Lights : Peachy-brown with shimmer (Frost)
easy to wear, just apply all over lid and line your eyes with either black or brown eye pencil

  • Dazzlelight : Neutral with shimmer (Veluxe Pearl)
put on your browbone as a highlight or on the corner of your eyes for that brightening effect

  • Sunny Stop : Light acid green yellow (Matte)
all over lid shadow, make sure you put it over a white cream shadow base to boost the color =)

  • Knight Divine : Black w/silver pearl (Veluxe Pearl)
night out makeup for that smokey/sultry eye effect

I will show you how to use this shades next time, I’m gonna go play and think for combinations that will work well on this colors first.

How about you, which eye shadow colors you plan to get on your next purchase?
