Christmas is
just around the corner! You can already feel it in the air which reminds me of Christmas Season in the Philippines, the longest Christmas celebration in Asia. As the calendar hits September, you’ll start hearing Christmas songs everywhere, in the shopping malls, neighbors’ place and even when taking public transportation! Filipino decorates more during yuletide season rather than in Halloween. Upcoming events, mall sales, office/school parties will start in no time, usually parties held during 2nd week of December. Plus the Misa de Gallo, a very important tradition to Filipinos =)
Last week, we started putting up Christmas decors at home and suddenly our creativity starts to ignite again!– we decided to make our very own version of Christmas Bow that I will share to you all.
Following are the materials that you'll need:
small Christmas bells, S$2 from Daiso |
- gold metal string, a silver shiny ribbon, glue gun and scissor
Steps:
Lay the felt paper for cutting,
Fold and cut in half,
Then fold and cut again, this will be the height of your bow
sorry a bit blur... |
Fold and cut it equally by 3, now you have
both the height and width of your bow
Take one and line each
sides with the silver ribbon, use glue gun
Locate the middle by folding it in half (both horizontally
and vertically). Mark it with a pencil.
Press and create a ribbon style. Pin the ribbon in
place using the gold metal string
Try it girls, it is very easy and inexpensive! With 1 red felt paper, you can make 12 medium-size Christmas Bows =)
By the way, kudos to my husband for this brilliant idea!
